La Niña Barro is een betoverend visueel theaterstuk, geïnspireerd op de dichtbundel van de Spaanse schrijver Marta Massé. Dit meditatieve en lyrische werk volgt de reis van een vrouw van klei, van haar geboorte tot volwassenheid, en nodigt het publiek uit om na te denken over de krachten die ons als mensen vormen.
Geïnspireerd door oeroude scheppingsmythen en rituelen van aanbidding en vruchtbaarheid, overstijgt La Niña Barro grenzen en culturen. Met een mix van beweging, kleur, textuur en livemuziek uit Zimbabwe vertaalt de voorstelling de ritmiek en emoties van Massé’s gedichten naar een meeslepende fysieke ervaring.
